California's Gold Rush Country is the product of more than four years of extensive travel throughout California's gold rush country by internationally known photographer Leslie A. Kelly. His photography, of what remains after several hundred thousand miners driven by gold fever literally dug up most of the rivers and creeks on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada, reflects not only California's rich history but also portrays its spectacular natural scenic beauty.
Kelly, from Huntington Beach, California, has published or provided photography for photo books about Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the Little House books, with Bill Anderson, noted Laura biographer. These books include Laura Ingalls Wilder Country (HarperCollinsPublishers 1990), Musical Memories of Laura Ingalls Wilder (Hear & Learn Publications 1992), Little House Country: A Photo Guide to the Home Sites of Laura Ingalls Wilder (Terrell 1989), Laura Ingalls Wilder Country Cookbook (HarperCollinsPublishers September 1995) and Little House Guidebook (HarperCollinsPublishers 1996).
